We have worked with Powers previously and have been pleased with the survey data the company has provided. Its pricing is competitive, and the team turn the work around quickly, which means we can progress with the design, safe in the knowledge that the information provided will be timely and reliable. The level of accuracy and detail we get is so important to us as it saves us a lot of time, meaning the project can progress quicker.

The benefit of having a comprehensive measured building survey and virtual tour of a site means that it is easier to collaborate with others without having to spend unnecessary time on site. This is particularly advantageous when the site in question is a school and access is restricted to out of school hours.

Powers’ team has been a key contributor to the success of this project, with many aspects of the construction impacted by their involvement. From the ground up, they have been involved in every step of the build. This kind of ‘unseen’ work, which isn’t obvious in the final results of the construction, is testament to these ‘unsung heroes’. Their hard work to make sure everything is square, accurate and correct can often be overlooked, but is a vital piece of the big picture, especially in error prevention. Powers continuously delivered a high standard quality of surveys – particularly in the concrete slab and bolt surveys, which had to be carried out with efficiency and exacting accuracy, often in challenging outdoor situations. The cartography was also of a very high standard. The project was fortunate to have a great team at the office and on site. Whenever Powers had to push data through, everyone was responsive and helpful.

Shores Fold development continues to evolve and we have now completed Claypit Crescent in its entirety. This includes 43 new three- and four-bedroom homes. Brickyard Close is now also well under construction and we are on target to deliver the remaining 14 homes by the start of next year. The topographical surveys Powers completed at the start of the project – and the team’s ongoing site engineering work with the access road and setting out – has all helped us continue the development at a pace.

Powers has been a great contributor to this project and has helped shape its trajectory from the start. Before any work could begin in earnest, its surveys have provided us with the data to renovate and remodel this lovely old building and create somewhere for the community to socialise. It has become a ‘golden’ opportunity to provide a valuable space to be enjoyed by everyone.

Powers was the ideal partner for us on this project. With their local knowledge and expertise, they delivered the surveys with their customary professionalism. With our good working relationship with National Highways and CWAC council, we were able to facilitate whatever access the surveyors required to carry out their work. Overall, we’re delighted with the work Powers carried out and made use of its data and reports in our design Consultant’s scoping brief.
